A great artist in ECM's canon: the Julia Hulsmann Quartet. They have just released a new album, Under The Surface, and it's excellent.

The Quartet has several other past albums, and they are all equally fine. Easy to listen to...nice close Quartet playing.
 
I can't believe I (re)started a big band jazz blog.... :facepalm:
