Is it ok to place the subwoofer on the right side (open side, next to kitchen) of the living room?

I have the living room in the attachment (a rectangle, 6mx5m, 6m front/back, 5m left/right) where to the right side it partially continues with the kitchen (there is a wall partially separating them; it starts from the front toward the centre of the border between the living room and the kitchen). Would it be ok to place the subwoofer (the only one) next to the wall separating the living room from the kitchen, right between the living room and the kitchen?

To be fair, the only way to know is try it. Sometimes what may be considered weird spots work very well.

I have a sub in a very similar position. It seems to be ok, although it is one of 2 subs so ymmv. As rynosaur says, the only way to know is to try it.
