what am I doing wrong?
The ADC being used for measurement needs to run at a higher sampling rate. 96 or 192kHz are fine. It looks like you’re sampling at 48kHz in the picture, which won’t tell you much about the stopband.
For this sort of measurement you’ll want to set the frequency scale to linear (rather than log) and zoom in on the area around 22kHz.

This is what I’m still getting

REW can only operate at one sample rate. As LTig said above, you will need to save the test tones to a file and then use foobar2k to play those out through the DAC you're testing, then hook the DAC output to the ADI's input and use REW set to 96kHz to show what's captured in the RTA window.

Ok since I failed at that. Can I do stereo crosstalk measurements via REW?

much obliged

Set REW to output on the L channel and capture on the R channel. Then perform a measurement sweep. Whatever you get that's above the noise floor of your ADC is crosstalk. Swap the channels and do the sweep again - you should get the same result, but sometimes it may be different.

but I guess I could use it with Parallels which is a virtual windows machine ?
You can sure give it a try,it's a great tool.I was a complete newbie before that (I still am,ok) but i have managed to take all kind of measurements to the point I have all my system set to it's optimal region.
The thread is super helpful also.

Use ASIO,on the upper box you choose your DAC on the lower one (with the mic on the side) your ADC.
Choose your level where it says Play Gain.
For start you can choose any of the presets on the top right for measuring (1Khz SINAD for example) or you can download and insert the plan on the post I gave you above.

On the top box (over the devices) there are a lot more to choose or you can type your own.
The Multitone thread will help you too,ask ther whatever you want.

it crashes.
do I select L+R for both DAC and AD?

Depends on what you want to measure.Start with single channel and go from there.
Try wasapi too,Mac don't like ASIO.
Loopback I presume?

can I use HQplayer to play the files ?

pardon but I didn’t get it.

if you could break it down for me please.

so I play a white noise test tone from REW and save it to a file?
then use Roon or something to play it back through the Marantz DAC ?
how do I play the saved test Tone through the Marantz while having REW working ?
im confused

Yes, you can use any other player. Obviously foobar is Windows only, but you can use any player available to you on your Mac and Roon will be fine.
Simply set Roon to output through the Marantz DAC and play the 44.1kHz white noise test tone you generated. Set REW to take input from your RME Pro (in this case, the output from REW doesn't matter) at a sample rate of 96kHz.

thank you so much!
i figured it out

can you also explain how to do a THD vs Freq chart?

in REW it’s in the stepped sine wave. But I don’t know how to set it up in its settings

again I really appreciate the help
