I spent nearly a minute wondering what makes a speaker gusty and how come I never encountered all these people talking about how gusty different speakers can get. Does it relate to port chuffing?

Perhaps I have a literacy tinnitus.

I wanted to write "ballsy" but decided to make it PG-rated and said "gutsy" instead, as in, having guts or "oomph".

Speaking more clearly... it has small-ish drivers and doesn't do high SPL particularly well.

Gusty could also refer to trouser leg flapping effects although that's perhaps more commonly associated with big guitar amp stacks than it is with hifi.
