Genelec 8260a or 8341a for desk listening.

If you're talking about the pair currently on their site, FWIW I actually ordered and returned those due to the condition. The photos are very kind to the reality. They functioned just fine; I couldn't live with the dented grilles and heavy scuffing in addition to the austere appearance. I also wasn't comfortable with that price given their age (around 12 years IIRC). You may feel differently, just wanted to possibly save you some time
I am. Oh, jeez. I already thought that they looked a little scuffed.

If i were you i would get 8331 + 7360.
With sub, these tiny gens aint gonna work hard in desktop setup + you will get full range sound and best in class imaging.

Hey, I considered that setup, but I felt like the 8331 wouldn't be a big enough step up from my 8030cs. It also isn't really that different in price from the 8341a for me. I do plan to get subs a but after the speakers, but I'm fine waiting an extra month or two for that better longterm quality.

Yes, go for 8341 or 8351. The 7360a is a very excellent sub, btw. (I'd buy those 8260a's, but not for desktop. Have them sandblasted :D.)

The 7360 seems like good value from what I’ve read about it. In regards to the 8351, I am considering it if I can find it for 6kish once I’m ready to buy. Might be something that has enough of the 8260’s strengths, though a bit more expensive.

Melodic, did you see these:

Yeah, I did! I’m planning on buying in a few months, though, September or October. Thanks, though!
