Hello wise people,

I've recently acquired some 8010s for desktop use and I love them.

The only problem is that since I have them tilted towards my head the XLR cable gets bent quite a lot. ( I'm using Cordial CFM cables)

Are there any XLR cables with shorter plugs that could fix that ?

I'm located in Germany btw.

So far the only thing I found are the LyxPro XLR Adapters since basically all of the right angle adapters are only angled on the female side

I've also found those but they won't fit due to the way the XLR port is positioned on the 8010s.

Maybe there's some XLR cables with shorter plugs (That I missed)
Otherwise it's this which seems to be well reviewed but expensive

I'll think about just leaving it like it is I don't move them around so maybe it will work for a while :/

Would probably work but price would be about the same as the adapter option

Another approach is to raise the speakers on stands (tweeter at ear height). This also improves sound quality in the lower mids substantially due to less reflections from the desktop. (EDIT: I do this with Genelec 8020)

Long ago I typically trimmed/cut off enough of the non-threaded rubber/plastic part of the black stain relief to get the clearance needed - looks like you don't need much clearance... right angle xlrs work too... cheap, fast or good - pick 2...

On Amazon I use the
CESS-041 Right Angle Female XLR to Straight Male XLR
They're like $16 and never got a bad one, QC seems pretty good.

But I'd need male right angled not female
