Denon AVR-X3000 no input

I recently was gifted a defunct Denon AVR-X3000 in the hopes that maybe I can get it going again.

Front display is OK, controls work and it seemingly starts fine, but it doesn't register any input from either digital/toslink or any of the 1-5 analog inputs.

HDMI output menu to TV works at random, most of the time I get no image from it though (setup menu).
Reset button always cause the expected blinking, but only randomly resets it, most of the time it does nothing..
Firmware combination doesn't seem to work at all, neither does the firmware version check combo. But maybe I got those wrong. Have no manual and just googled them.
None of the inputs work, at all. At first glance, this is the responsibility of the topmost board in the receiver.

There is however a glaring possible cause... Heavy corrosion. See the attached image of how most of these (I'm guessing they're used for common ground between boards) connections look like.

Could it simply be a grounding issue? These spots are the only corrosion I see inside so far, so I'm a little hopeful I can get it to work if I e.g. make a bypass at those junctions, but I haven't taken it apart fully yet and seen everything yet.

Just a small FYI of myself...
I have soldered all my life and have multimeter and a simple oscilloscope, but troubleshooting PCB components is not my strong side. I can spot and replace bad caps maybe and for sure fuses, but have never tried finding bad rectifiers, transistors, etc... Just figured here that maybe the rust/corrosion seen is so bad that it no longer passes anything. I'm only guessing they're used for grounding between boards. So any tips for things to easily check initially would be appreciated. If not I may just have to discard the whole thing.

Would anyone at least have a relatively new firmware for it? I just got it into firmware USB update screen. The only FW I have found is X2000, but doesn't seem to be accepted on the X3000.
