CrinEar IEMs by Crinacle

I'm starving for info on Reference. According to CanJam Singapore 2025 visitors, it is coming out around end of the year. No changes to the frequency response since CanJam NYC. It's still V2.1.

Many IEMs might get released between now and end of the year. Let's see if I can remain patient for the Reference. Before that, maybe Crinacle is focused on finalizing the Daybreak.

I'm also interested in this IEM. In the meantime, I'm using Truthear Hexa with an added Y3 filter on top of the yellow treble damper.

My CrinEar Meta appears to have cleared customs in the UK and I will receive it Tomorrow/Wednesday this week.

#prayforjim indeed,

They’re called “yodel” for a reason, you end up howling n” hollering at them

Although saying that the yodel delivery guy that does our area is very good with my parcels, probably coz i usually make him a “cappuccino to go” in his travel mug after he enquired about the smell/delivery of freshly roasted coffee beans from “Rave” a few years ago, he has my phone number and knows I have spms so always gives me 20mins notice before he delivers.

Bribery to ensure service :D

I stuck a fiver in the back pocket of my Hermes regular , gave him a wink and a smack on the ass for Christmas .

Probably why all my Hermes parcels go missing to be fair .

So predictable...

I wasn't planning on scalping but I did have half an idea to leave the wrapper on and see what the consumer feedback and market looked like over the next few weeks .

But realistically , even if they are the perfect fit and tuning for me , I don't know why the resale value for anything other than 001 should be more than a few % over retail for the Crinbois. They are *just* an iem .

Mine should arrive this afternoon but I've long ago learnt any new headphone or iem can only be pleasing or disappointing , not revelatory.

Hey @crinacle how did you know to customize mine with the copper detailing? Thanks though.

Nice set- love the metal shells.

Early days but the tuning is of course solid.

Per above post of course they aren't revelatory to anyone who has recent and decent sounding sets but a very solid base for future models. More than happy with my set.

I have been listening to mine. Really like the tuning. Nothing stands out, everything is just right. Reminds me of the naturalness of HD650 in that regard, but obviously with better bass.

Nice to have a replacement for the DUSK that doesn't require EQ to hit the target.

Formfactor is much more comfortable than the non-DUSK Crinacle collab IEMs. Slightly less comfortable than DUSK.

I have these right now. The high end is pushed up (too much), they are slightly midscoopoed and have poor imaging and 3D qualities. Do not like them at all.

I’ve finally got round to opening my set (#218) and the instruction booklet is stuck to the plastic case so I’ve left it in the box as I’ll never use such a case, listening now after wrestling for 30 mins fitting suitable tips, they are quite a deep insertion iem so I’m using the smallest silicone narrow bore tips from my box o’ tips.

Very efficient as I’m on 40/100 using low gain on 3.5mm with my Aful Snowy Night dongle, no need nor desire to go louder with my current track list

From my short 30min impressions so far listening to a few electronic tracks - Bass is surprisingly strong with rumble/definition, Treble is fine and not bothersome (could be my narrow bore tips), with a suitably mixed/produced track the imaging and location of instruments is perfectly fine, never experienced 3D effects from an iem so can’t comment on such.

Cable is nice ‘n supple but Jack is too long…..the Jack designs on all iem cables need a rethink/redesign to make them smaller.

Will I keep it?, dunno…..I’ll compare it to my permanent #1 Symphonium Meteor and see if there’s a use case/novel listening experience that it
fits.

Exactly the same for me . Ripped off then rubbed the residue with a baby wipe a bit and it's clear . But @crinacle fyi if you're using these cases again .

The problem here is micro-planars look identical to BAs, so this is not useful. I think the treble driver is likely micro-planar but it could be BA. Either way the iem tuning sucks. bahahaha
