Hi All,
I picked up a vintage Revel Ultima voice center channel for cheap, and want to connect it to a stereo receiver from the 80s (Sony Str 242). The Revel has two sets of connectors for bi-wiring and bi-amping. Can I connect both the L and R channel to the speaker (and removing the shorting straps) to obtain mono? Much appreciate any help!

Yes, but there is no benefit to it

Thanks for the link, will check it out. But I want to get mono on all sources, and not just the L or R channel.

Great, problem solved, thanks a ton Svend!

It's not a good plan to sum two interconnect outputs to one input.
