Hi All,
Very new to the electronics thing. I am working on a virtual organ project and need a way to get the audio from my computer to the speaker system I have. The speaker system has two tall speakers and one subwoofer. These all connect to a hub where they converge into a connector with 4 slots (1,2,3,Gr). This plugs into the output of the amplifier circuit board. The part iI am struggling with is how to put audio into the amplifier. I have a similar 4 alot connector that attaches to audio in, it has three wires coming out of it. The ground seems to be part of the insulation for these wires. I have a 1/4 inch TRS jack input that I am thinking of soldering to these input wires but do not know how to about doing this, particularly with the ground.
I will have to get better pics of my components, will upload these later but for now uploading pics I have.
I then plan to run from the 1/8 inch computer headphone jack to a 1/4 inch TRS adapter into the jack which then connects to the three input wires. Does this make sense, and how to do it? Many thanks!
