Bear , first time in cat history at harry rocks , Bear relaxed laying on the grass
Thanks for taking us along for the ride! That was fun. :)

I tried taking my cats out on a leash but at least one of them was very scared of the outdoors. He ended up hugging a small cliff wall behind a bush, and I had to "dig him out" and carry him home while he tried to hide in my armpit, pretty much. The other one didn't get along with the leash at all. In the end they seemed more content with he balcony.

Bear and Magic look a bit stressed out at times too - overwhelmed as you say. It's nice that they have their own space, and an elevated one at that! Do you think they appreciate the experience, on a whole? Are they excited when you prepare the carrier? Are they indifferent? Or do they make themselves scarce?

It's a nice idea, to let indoor cats experience the outdoors using a carrier like that!

I'm always torn about having outdoor cats.
The tipping point in our situation is that all four are feral born. There is no reversing this.
If I were to buy some "Sushi Grade" kittens, on the other hand... I would be hard pressed to ever let them outside. And I say that knowing that these 4 are the most well balanced and natural cats I've ever been around.
I'm not suggesting that outdoors has to be a part of a mentally healthy cat, just that I've not seen cats that are this well balanced before. ;) And that includes other cats that have been indoor-outdoor.
*shrugs

Cats are a mystery, yo! ;)

I'm a fan of the unusual cat, the cat that does unexpected and strange things.

This cat is best looked at scaled down.

i can't take my cat to fish and chips as i understand and the owner loved having my cats there in the carrier , but some poor lady came down with allege which made me feel bad :( and hope she is okay . i myself am strangely allergic to , maine coon that i petted at cat cafe and been so many times and petted all the other cats and maine coon often was sleeping and when i saw , ok so lovely large and long fur , spent petting for 10 so mins ? after i left get bus , home my eyes was itching while waiting , once home still itching tried washing with water and still itching hours into night and started googling for some answers and found some . i had an allergic reaction that lasted for nearly a week . :( felt lousy it did , :( so i know how that lady must feel but how was i to know ? how was i to know i myself will be also allergic to maybe one type of cat ?

well can still go just can't go in the restaurant and the take-away is just as equally good so take-away next time ,
also the same with dogs some can get allegiances from dogs fur , can't say i have had such allergic reaction from a dog
also Sphynx cat can't get a reaction from they are hairless , maybe i should get one ?

My ex-wife was allergic to cats, but it was the dander and not the fur that caused it. Something about the dried saliva from bathing. So even a hairless cat would trigger her allergy.

She's been an ex for 15+ years now, and my house is graced with the presence of a Maine Coon. All is good.
