My AKG 141 studio are having an issue with right channel ( the stereo cable is on the left) working intermittently. Sometimes it seems that just pressing on the input (where the gold logo is) makes a change, other times I experience sound going off/on just by rotating the jack. Don’t know if it’s a cable’s fault or something inside but I guess starting to check the cable will be easier. I searched on Amazon or Thomann for a replacement but only found balanced trrs options, which is not for me. I attach a picture asking for help in order to know what I need to search for.
Thank you.

As far as I can see it is a 2.5 mm jack ( sort of a standard) in the shape of a custom thin plug in order to keep it in place. I am more prone to think something happened inside the headphones as yesterday and today I tried moving the cable around while keeping the female input nice and tight and couldn't produce any sound, even intermittent. At the time when the right channel began unpredictably working in on/off alternating mode ( until a couple of days ago) I still had the impression that touching the input produced more result than playing around with te cable. Is there are further check I can do in order to identify the issue?

Perhaps measure the cable with a cheap multimeter ?
