We got the Sony XR55A95L in December on sale. It's in a large room with 10" ceilings and the sound is decent. 15-20 ft away voices are ok. Will be putting in a system after done with remodeling. Picture in daytime is good, darker room exceptional.

We did get a Sony Bravia KDA1 55 inch. It's through screen sound allegedly being the best available. About four years ago, I guess.
There are newer telly's with more powerful sound systems now.
