Best streamer?

I can’t do a proper search on the review section. So what is the best streamer?

I am happy with my Wiim Pro + D90SE but wonder if there is something better.

BTW, are there instructions on how to update firmware on my D90?

Acting on the DAC has nothing to do with improving the streamer... maybe you meant "how to improve my streaming listening experience as a whole"?

The only difference is the internal DAC, so no change when used with the D90.

The 'streaming experience as a whole' part is so dependent on which services you want to use (if any), how you use it, and personal preference that nobody can answer for you. Some will swear by Roon. I'd go for LMS and a mixture of piCorePlayer for some endpoints and squeezelite running on other linux boxes (HTPC, desktop, laptop) for others, with a phone as a remote. A Pi will give you lots of options to try at the cost of some time, but not all proprietary streaming services will be supported. Some think the Wiim does it all just fine.

For the money WiiM seems the winner, for the experience with navigation, PEQ, DSP and music discovery Roon is best. IMO
