Does anyone know, what is this? I don't see it on the 4800 product page. Doesnt seem to be related to Dirac

I'm eyeballing this receiver. Seems like a perfect replacement for my AVRX7200WA, with better HDMI support and Dirac. I'm wondering which DAC this will have, and if it'll be an upgrade over the 4800h.

my 2$ bet is that is is the same DAC configuration as x4800h - i.e. 8 TI chips

That's likely the case, if they used a better one they would have broadcasted it all over the internet like they have done with the A1H and AV10.

You're probably right. But one can hope!

Bear in mind the X6700H V2 already has 8 TI PCM5102A chips in it...same as the V2 variants of the 3700 and 4700, and of course all of the current D+M line below the AV10/A1H.

My limited understanding of this is, it’s a Denon processing mode, any speaker set to “small”, has its bass redirected to the physically closest subwoofer, instead of just being combined with the lfe channel & merged with all subwoofers.
