DAC -> Fosi Audio ZD3
Preamp/Splitter -> Fosi Audio PH05
Speaker -> JBL 308p (x4)

I am setting up a budget music system for my office and decided to buy 4 jbl 308p speakers which needs to be connected through bluetooth.
Distance is too much (around 20m) for unbalanced audio signal to not get noisy so wanted to use balanced audio.

Seperate volume control for each speaker needs to be placed near DAC so PH05 is the cheapest option i see but it is not balanced.
I think connecting XLR output from 1 channel of DAC using mono audio to PH05 is possible
by connecting 3.5mm trs to XLR 3 pin (hot, cold, ground to left, right, ground) and after splitting back (left, right, ground to hot, cold, ground).

Will it work or would i need to buy something else?

It can be risky going "directly" from balanced to unbalanced unless the manufacturer of the balanced-output device specifies how to do it. You normally end-up shorting one of the balanced signals to ground and the general rule is to NEVER short outputs. And if you don't ground it, it might not work without a "ground reference".

There are passive converters that use a transformer and powered active converters.

...It's OK to go the other way around, unbalanced to balanced, because it's OK to short an input to ground.

to not get noisy so wanted to use balanced audio.
Do you have a noise problem? Almost all home systems use unbalanced connections without noise problems. And when there is noise, it's often a different problem that's not solved by going balanced.
