Yup. I affixed an acoustically transparent cloth in front of the horn, as it is not very deep. The bullet supertweeter is safe as it gets quickly too small for the paws and claws. Also, the supertweeter is solidly affixed to the top now.

Ooooh. I had a few dogs when I was a kid, but after we had to have Rolf put down because he was very, very sick, I could not get another one. It took decades before I decided to get new pets.

My cat is convinced she makes the HiFi work. As I bend down to switch the mains socket on she rushes over and rubs the power amplifier until music comes from the speakers. Then she dashes over to a spot midway between the speakers and rolls around for a bit then settles down. If I put opera on, she leaves. If it's electronica she stays.

If you're making music, try recording the purrs. Hold the mic directly to the chest. It's an awesome starting point for bass and lead sounds with a naturally very rich overtone spectrum.

Lol, agreed - presence of the pets is soothing and could definitively be a factor to enhance the enjoyment. However, I find that absence of the wife (at least mine) is even more rewarding .

"Fit" in the sense that the cat needs to like the music, yes, of course.

Yes there are. There are calypso cats too but unfortunately for them the music gone outta fashion. If you want to get the most out of your simple tweak you should experiment a bit with the music.
