I realized that I need to think more about improve my travel listening experience rather than buying home audio stuff. I am on the road four days a week (flying and driving). What should I get to improve my listening experience?

I listen to everything (podcasts, my own music library and Tidal) on my iPhone 15 Max and alternate between my Bose QC45 and my Shure 215’s. Functionally I prefer the former until I can’t stand how music sounds through it. I used to have a Truthear Red but lost it recently. Did like it better than the Shure. What should I be looking at? Anything I’m not considering?

I've always been happy to have a small rechargeable speaker that lives in my suitcase. The SQ isn't great but I strongly prefer not to use headphones. So it's a nice respite after so much IEM use on airplane flights.

In fact, there are probably better options available now. A perfect object of some new upgrade-itis.

Agreed. I can only tolerate headphones for so long. That being said, I like the QC45. I think they are comfortable. I loved the noise cancellation on planes and public transportation. They got a good review from Amir. Someone else loved them too since they got stolen at the airport!o_O

It looks like those Shure are great for noise cancellation too even though they are passive, and also look like they have good sound.

@agiletiger If you haven't already, have you considered one of the (many) portable players with EQ? Almost every headphone and IEM is in need of EQ, and each user's ear and preference will be a factor. Amir has a filter in his review that is a good starting point.

I have a couple Bluetooth speakers I like and use from time to time.
I should test them. :D
