Greetings!

After receiving my SVS SB1000 Pro I have been nothing short of thrilled with the entire experience. Naturally I want to take care of my stuff so I am a grille on person, always have been.

The SVS SUB shipped with the grille DETACHED, so one of the first things I did was put the grille on to add a little safety - I live alone but not the point, accidents happen (I was once winding up a HDMI cable and the end flicked into my TV screen and chipped it)

So I tried to put the grille on the SVS SUB and WHAT THE HECK it's stiff, it's so stiff I can't put it all the way in (LMAO JUST..... DON'T) so I looked through the manual and no mention of ANYTHING about the grille. So it's half in and half out, I don't even know if it's meant to be like that, I push it but it's crazy stiff and I just don't want to force it, pulling it back out is just as hard.

If there is anyone who has had this experience and can keep a straight face, perhaps they could share any advice, should I just cram that fooker in? Leave it hanging out (LMAO) or yank it out entirely and give it up as a bad job, I swear I heard the wood creaking when I was trying to push it in...OR take it back out...

It's starting to sound like a porn film made by marionettes...

On my SB-2000 Pro there is a 3mm gap when the grille pins are fully seated - I guess to allow to remove it again with fingers or a flat blade.

Mate this is gold I am so glad I didn't force it in

(LOL) man could you find anything in the manual about that? I am sure it's something I missed or if not they REALLY should point this out.

In my mind, it's been half hanging out the whole time but apparently you're saying it's IN FAR ENOUGH!

Same here, also SB 2000 pro owner. If I try to push any of the pins further in, the opposite diagonal one comes out.

On my SB2000 they go in fully. There is about a mm between the grill and the cabinet if its fully in because there is a ring for some spacing.

This is good to know, has anyone found anything in the manual? It seems such a silly thing but... Is there really anyone who wants to be pushing that hard on their nice new sub grille/cabinet - I had quite a confused face when I was trying to put the grille on, and as I say, I still have no idea if it's in ENOUGH, too much, or needs more pushing! This is not good IMO, at least, it's not good if there's nothing in the manual.

Hi.
I have a SB2000, think that there has to be a distance for the cone to move freely.
A cone of this size expands a lot!

Very good thinking. I still think this should be made clear in the manual, have you found anything? Or did you like me spend time wondering why the grille did not go in all the way.... Lets' be honest, this isn't a common occurrence - even on the previous SVS subs I have had

Have you contacted or called SVS customer service about it? They would be the best ones to ask.

I also have an SVS SB-1000. Yes, the grill is very tight. I had to push it pretty good to get it on. But now that's it on I just leave it. Really awesome and compact sub, had it for about a year now. This sub still surprises me with its performance. I recommend investing in the SVS SoundPath feet. Enjoy it and have fun.

The fact this is a thing shows SVS need to look at this LOL - again, unless ANYONE can say they have found something mentioned in the manual I have missed.
