What are those fixes exactly? The grounding pogo pin and...? How did you check this?My L30 starts with 201262... and has both fixes.
The grounding pin and the updated dc protection. There are tons of posts about this in this thread. What are those fixes exactly? The grounding pogo pin and...?
Thanks, man! Mine starts with 201262 as well. I hope it has both fixes. My L30 starts with 201262... and has both fixes.
All L30 units with S/N 2012 or newer have the updated dc protection. And it‘s really easy to check if you have the ESD protection as well. Just open the backplate and look for the pin or use a multimeter. Thanks, man! Mine starts with 201262 as well. I hope it has both fixes.
You say it has both fixes. How do you know this? You were told so, or did you check? The grounding pin and the updated dc protection. There are tons of posts about this in this thread.

I know, man. I'm just lazy. I mean it's really great that Topping is replacing the pre 2012 units. But there's also something about needing to open the unit or use a multimeter to test the replacement for my peace of mind that rubs me the wrong way. I don't think I've encountered any other product that I needed to do this to. Of course Topping is not asking me to do this. What they (and the third-party seller) are implicitly asking of me is to trust them that it has been fixed. All L30 units with S/N 2012 or newer have the updated dc protection. In that case, how does the *DC protection circuit* look like in the new one? I'm curious. (I know about the ESD-fix, I did that one myself, somewhat more robust than with a pogo pin.)I checked visually and used a multimeter
Improving the the DC-protection without changing the audio circuit would be a tall order. But it all depends on what they mean by "audio circuit". They could be meaning "signal path".
Same thing if you bought a diesel car from VW a few years ago.I know, man. I'm just lazy. I mean it's really great that Topping is replacing the pre 2012 units. The picture is from the old one?The PCB's will look very much the same. There wasn't a big 'overhaul' just some slight changes in the 'non audio' part of the PCB.
In the picture the 1 and 2 marked sections may look slightly different.
