I am tapping my toes listening to this setup as I type this.
Because they use basically the same PCB, the positions of the input and output interfaces are fixed.

Ghent and Worlds Best Cables (on Amazon) also have some options for <$25.
The misaligned RCAs might be designed to provide some stress relief to the cables by increasing the wire bend radius.

No need for balance of it is clean alreadyI guess my dream piece of equipment would be a JDS Element III+ with balanced out and digital volume control?

And likewise, no downside in having 2x the power for a headphone if it supports it.
I just received these cables yesterday for my Atom/D50s stack. They work and look pretty nice though I would prefer right angle RCAs.
