They do look nice. Is ATC good stuff?
Limited to just 150 pairs, the 2-way active stand-mount design (US Retail $13,999 per pair).
To support the SCM20ASL Limited Edition, a limited run of 20 of ATC’s new 12” active subwoofer, the C4 Sub Mk2 Limited Edition (US Retail $9,999 each).
It's pretty close to as good as flat baffles can get generally speaking.

Almost certainly resulting from their purchase of a Klippel NFS.

For those wondering - they did move the drivers down.

I wonder if they maintain the upper mid bump as my curved cab 20ASLs had?

Likely. My understanding is the 20 was initially meant to be "NS10s, if NS10s weren't so horrible" - i.e., kind of mid forward (and not ear piercing like the NS10), but with better distortion and bass extension.

Billy and his then vocal (very) mouthpiece Ashley James (Lord I'm old hat now), told me the response was intended for 'meter bridge' applications. I suspect the 19 in all its forms inherited this as a by-product (you'd know far more about 20's used professionally but my original 20's didn't seem 'quite' as bad and it worked well tight to the wall behind in my case (no subs which would have fleshed out the very lowest notes).

ATC used to measure their speakers set up high on a hoist (ten feet at least and maybe more) with mic set up accordingly. There was some inevitable disturbance at 100Hz or so which they allowed for, but higher than that, they felt confident in their calibrations/phase tracking of their three way actives and so on. They have a huge 'extra' building now alongside the facilities I knew, but no idea what goes on there these days :) I'm no longer a customer or ever likely to be now, so I doubt I'd even be able to visit as a retired dealer cum tyre-kicker as I don't know anyone there now sadly.

Honestly, I'd just like Ben Lilly or somebody to come on here and engage with us at this point.

I don't think the manufacturer claimed any innovation in relation to this speaker. So there is nothing to blame on them about this. It's just a typical ATC speaker, with some differences compared to the other models.
I meant this part :
"The new model integrates a 2-way active system, previously only available in a floor standing model, into a smaller stand-mount cabinet"

Previously, the stand-mount SCM20 was only available in passive version, now there is an active version too, the SCM20ASL. That's.
