Maybe they changed crossover frequency? You are probably right, I just found it strange that the drivers are positioned differently in height than the regular SCM20.

It's pretty close to as good as flat baffles can get generally speaking. They do look nice. Is ATC good stuff?
Limited to just 150 pairs, the 2-way active stand-mount design (US Retail $13,999 per pair).
To support the SCM20ASL Limited Edition, a limited run of 20 of ATC’s new 12” active subwoofer, the C4 Sub Mk2 Limited Edition (US Retail $9,999 each).
Likely. My understanding is the 20 was initially meant to be "NS10s, if NS10s weren't so horrible" - i.e., kind of mid forward (and not ear piercing like the NS10), but with better distortion and bass extension.I wonder if they maintain the upper mid bump as my curved cab 20ASLs had?
Billy and his then vocal (very) mouthpiece Ashley James (Lord I'm old hat now), told me the response was intended for 'meter bridge' applications. I suspect the 19 in all its forms inherited this as a by-product (you'd know far more about 20's used professionally but my original 20's didn't seem 'quite' as bad and it worked well tight to the wall behind in my case (no subs which would have fleshed out the very lowest notes).Likely. I think they did indeed:For those wondering - they did move the drivers down.
Are you selling these now?$14k

Ask him via emailHonestly, I'd just like Ben Lilly or somebody to come on here and engage with us at this point.
I don't think the manufacturer claimed any innovation in relation to this speaker. So there is nothing to blame on them about this. It's just a typical ATC speaker, with some differences compared to the other models. What's the innovation here ?View attachment 363181
I meant this part :I don't think the manufacturer claimed any innovation in relation to this speaker. So there is nothing to blame on them about this. It's just a typical ATC speaker, with some differences compared to the other models.
Previously, the stand-mount SCM20 was only available in passive version, now there is an active version too, the SCM20ASL. That's.I meant this part :
"previously only available in a floor standing model, into a smaller stand-mount cabinet."
This is probably an improvement. The blue color is not...Previously, the stand-mount SCM20 was only available in passive version, now there is an active version too, the SCM20ASL. That's.
