Why not put the stand flat and then place the speaker on it???

the ONLY reason this makes sense is if there was a need to secure the speaker from the bottom with some kind of clamp or bolt that goes in from the bottom of the plinth

but since there is none???

Bizarre way of setting it. Looks like it could have slided out of the base when they set it in 90 deg.hor.

It occurred to me that the nautilus isn't a very large speaker as I always thought because of the pricetag. -Which is just stupid.

Why not put the stand flat and then place the speaker on it???
May be they realized it after picking up the speaker and came near to it. Should have asked third person to help with base.
regards.
addition : looks like could easily topple with some force. why not have base fixed to speaker.

What could have been an excellent disaster video is now nothing more than clickbait

… what a waste of opportunity, what a waste of some perfectly horrible B&W speakers …

if it did topple over... 'nothing of value would be lost'

this is from someone who truly likes B&W at least before he met ASR!
