Topping LA90 evaluation and discussion (Integrated Amplifier)

My PA5 is problem free right now but I'll be observing how Topping deals with the reported issues before buying the LA90. Too risky for the price.

Highest SINAD, 3 balanced inputs, class AB, volume control. Ok. Now the question is: how many watts in 4 ohms (THD+N 1%)? Looks small as for a desktop setup, not big tower speaker in a living room. Let's see when the full measurements come out.

I am currently using Hypex NC250MPs and would consider replacing them with the LA90 if the measurements and the power will be adequate (I have doubts about the latter)
I am driving Murphy Corner Line Arrays so I need quite a lot of power...

Any reason why you don't go to the NC500MP? Double the beefiness i think.

That may turn out to be more than enough, given that the pre90 delivers a whopping 18Vrms (balanced).

Sorry, got my plusses and minuses in a twist. Fixed. At 10dB gain this would be good for 56Vrms or so at the speaker terminal.

Edit: from reading the comments on L7Audiolab we can assume it puts out more than 100W into 8Ohm @0.001%THD. If so, that would be quite interesting.
