Your latest cool purchase

How cool.

You can always get another suit from him when you get "back in shape".

Oh, traditionally tailored suits will often be designed with extra fabric to look good even when altered by about 2 sizes up and down. Just that I'd either need to bring it back and be measured up again our next holiday there, or find someone competent locally. Thinking of a subtlely checkered jacket, something like this but maybe with a dark red instead of baby blue:

Just purchased a set of used revel M105s, very happy with them so far.

In the picture accessing moOde audio from the TV.

Remember when 30" CRTs were simply enormous?
Yup. 1997 I bought my first "big" TV, 32inch for about the same price as I now paid for 77". Actually adjusted to inflation the 32" was more expensive.

I had a Sony Trinitron CRT for my computer(s) back in the days. That thing was heavy! I still have a "big" CRT in use: it's not as wide/tall as a modern TV but it is still quite something... It's in my vintage arcade cab from the mid 80s (still fully working).

MOONDROP DAWN PRO Dual CS43131 Portable USB DAC/AMP
pretty cool, fantastic for its price

In the late 90's, I had an IBM 21PT monitor with a 21" Diamondtron tube and a capacitive touch screen. It was lovely, but massive. It weighed 39KG (86lbs) and made a very loud noise when you switched it on (when it degaussed itself). I think these were quite rare, I can't find any pictures of one on Google, but here's a picture of mine with my Saitek joystick sitting on top of it...

Yes, that is an Altec Lansing cube speaker sitting on top of a Sun Sparc external SCSI drive on the right :)

There are a couple of very large albeit considerably more modern CRT monitors in my basement.

Would be remiss of me not to share the bag that inspired the start of this thread.
LoL... I know what this is... I attempted finding a flaw... I thought I succeeded and then I checked the matching other side and they both sides have the same stitch used in the same locations on each side.... sigh* That appears to be a excellent cel tel pouch.

I would have preferred it a touch larger but the next size up in the maker's line is a huge (and gorgeous) full-sized satchel. I had preferred to keep it to a standard size with different strap designs in the interest of budget and delivery time instead of having something completely designed from scratch.

No biggie, this will fit an umbrella, sunglasses, phone, small notebook, IEMs and medication just fine.

It doesn't appear large enough to carry all that gear. It must be pretty large. I like how the top cover rolls over the lip of the opening and creates a seal that can be seen on the top cover.

It's a small to mid sized satchel. Internal volume of 28cmx19.5cmx9cm. A telescoping umbrella fits and everything else I need is not terribly large. There's also a nifty removable divider/organiser.

I broke down and got a projector for the bindery part of the studio. Amazing what less than $300 can get you with these new cheap projectors. It's plenty bright enough and even though only 1920x1080p plenty detailed enough. I just took a roll of drawing paper and strung it up for this proof of concept and promptly ordered a cheap 100" screen last night. I have an extra AppleTV I hooked into it so Airplay, screen sharing (even a mirrored or extended monitor via Airplay) plus all the media access a ATV gives you is now in the workplace.

But now I can sit right in the sweet spot and work with REW, rePhase, Dirac or whatever in real time or watch a concert!

IC... Packing a lot of heat with a small notebook, smart phone, 5G+ etc.... LoL.

My last cool purchase was $35 for a tow to 2,000 feet to carch thermals and fly around the clouds for the rest of last Sunday afternoon (4 hours) in my glider.

Third in line here, from another day...92 feet

Oh yeah, bought a wide-angle attachment for the GoPro to be able to take better cockpit shots.

I guess that was the last physical thing.

Those guys got to be losing money on gas at $35 bucks a tow, not to mention their time. How long for a tow plane round trip and next hookup?
