What are some cheaper but good alternatives to the Element II or III?

Can someone give me some good options to check out at different price points below the Element for amp/dac devices?

Topping DX3 will get you similar performance and functionality for about half the money, but IMO it is not as nice of a device in terms of industrial design / aesthetics.

IMO if you like the Element III, if you are in the US, save up, or look for one secondhand. JDS has good customer service and is based in the US.

The best deal now is the SMSL C200 combo at Amazon used for $125 and they have 3 in stock. I got one and it's excellent and for 125 beans the value for money winner.

JDS Labs' own Atom 2 series. The Elements are hardly any better than them, even in amplifier power.

Also the Schiit Modius E + Midgard cost less.
