Trusting your own ears is fine as long as you make decisions about results of using them only to yourself. They may not apply to anyone else.

Fantastic Freudian slip - "People who lack basic vision". Yeah, you need vision to read the manufacturer's name. Me, I prefer basic hearing.

The problem with the audiophools is that they DO NOT trust their ears. They insist on knowing what component they are listening to (and how much it costs) before making a judgement about how it influences the sound.

My Evergreen cables are fine, but overpriced for what they are. The only other AQ product I ever bought was a Jitterbug, and it made no difference in sound quality, so I sold it off.
