Trouble getting I2S from several Interfaces (Douk Pro, SMSL)

Hi All

I am new to this forum and hope I can get some help.

I tried a Douk Pro to get USB from my Mac Studio. I have an HDMI cable connected to the I2S input on a PS Audio Gain Cell DAC. When I switch to I2S, there is no audio. Same happens with an SMSL interface. Could this be an HDMI cable problem?

This DAC https://www.psaudio.com/products/gaincell-dac seems to have USB input directly, IIUC.

I believe that I2S has no cable standard, it was designed for internal use only.

Not all connectors on equipment that support I2S are wired the same.

You will need to dig a little deeper to find how they are wired on the individual components.

Last I was looking at this only HDMI connections supported I2S...

Problem solved by using an Amanero USB to HDMI box....great i2S sound on my DAC, finally

I have the same problem where did you buy your Amanero USB to I2S? Did you ever get douk pro to work with your smsl i2s?

usb to i2s seems like what a DDC like Gustard U18 or Topping U90 would do

Got it on Ebay..works perfectly with gain cell dac
