Topping DX3 Pro+ - Quiet mains hum on RCA output

In the other setup, there was a very clear difference (to the point that I lowered the input sensitivity of the active speakers to get the noise to an acceptable level).
In this setup, it's very subtle and better with USB connected.

I'll try to find something that changes the noise in this setup (like the PC clearly did in the other setup).
Update: Couldn't find anything, with or without USB. I tried disconnected everything that was running at the time except my fridge.
PC activity also made zero difference, I tried a couple of things on the PC that had a clear effect in the other setup.

Right, the setup where the issue is relevant now has a sound card (Asus Xonar SE) and a toslink connection to the DX3 Pro+ instead of USB.

Annoyingly, the Xonar SE only switches on the toslink output when there is sound to play, so the DX3 Pro+ goes to sleep and when it wakes up, you miss the first ~second of sound.

Maybe I can find a way to have the toslink output always (like with the ALC1220 on my mainboard), otherwise I've traded one annoyance for another.

In the DX3 Pro+ thread I gave a very detailed instruction on how to convert the RCA output to XLR balanced output using two 20 Ohm resistor. If your setup has balanced input, you can use my method to solve ground hum entirely, no matter which digital input (usb, coax, fiber) you use.

The Adam T5V speakers do have XLR inputs.
Could you link that post?
