Hello All,

I am looking for a way to loseless stream music from services like Tidal or Amazon Music. For now, I have SMSL D6S with LDAC codec. As I know, it is still loose way to stream, beacuse of BT compression.

I have also streamer based on Moode and Raspberry Pi. It has some options to stream with those renderes:

  • Bluetooth
  • AirPlay
  • Spotify Connect
  • Squeezelite
  • UPnP Client for MPD
  • Plexamp
  • RoonBridge
Any of this method have been working for me. I have phone with Android, so apps like Tidal or Amazon Music cannot play with AirPlay.

Do you have any ideas, or faced same issue? Maybe you have some good workarounds? Or Bluetooth way of streaming music is enough?

You might try UPnP as this is a lossless streaming protocol capped at 24 / 192 kHz.
A program like BubbleUPnP on your Android can send Tidal to a UPnP renderer.

Bluetooth, using LDAC, might be ok actually. Worth trying.

A WiiM mini will stream Tidal and Amazon losslessly too.

I use bluetooth with Ldac from my laptop to a Smsl C200. IMO is absolutely ok

I know Volumio on Raspberry Pi has Tidal support but only the paid version. I think UPnP or bluetooth would be the way to go with Moode on a Pi.
