Speakers and Kid Safety

I currently have a surround setup with three RBH 515e LCR speakers in the front and two RBH 5 speakers in the rear. I love the front “mini-towers” on stands but we now have a kid and they are very top heavy on stands. I fear they will be knocked off the stands very easily and pose a risk to our kid once they start crawling and running.

Does anyone have recommendations for speakers that are a little more kid safe? Ideally a bookshelf speaker that isn’t as tall that I can anchor to a stand and maybe then anchor the stand somehow so it can’t tip? Or maybe I just go wall mounted speaker or soundbar.

How much does the RBH 515e weight?
I have my KEF R3s on Monolith Monoprice stands, without filling, and it's pretty hard to move the speakers at all, for kids.
Also, how do you have the speakers secured to the stand or are they just resting on the stands?

If your speakers are heavy enough, I'd say you have quite a few years before your kid is tall and strong enough to cause any risk.

Currently the speakers are just resting on the stands. The main issue is because of the vertical MTM design they are very narrow and tall, and relatively top heavy.

I was hoping for something a little more stable and around $300 a speaker. I’d still need to find a way to attach it to the stand.

Why not give this a try?

That way you have to topple the entire structure (stand + speaker) for it to actually fall.
