Isolation pads on top of sand filled stands? Speakers/Resonance issue

I am trying to get rid of my cabinet resonance in the speakers. Yes, I know the room plays a huge part, but I am stuck with what I am stuck with. I am like 9 inches from the wall. Farthest I can go. My eq for bass mid treble goes from -10 to +6. I dropped the bass and treble to -3 and kept the mid at 0. Seemed to work a bit but I wanted to see if anything else I could possibly do. I have the klipsch connect app for eq but since I am on win11 I could probably download a better PEQ.

What I wanted to know is, should I use my isolation foam on top of my sand filled speaker stands? Or just put the speakers on the stands with rubber feet? I have desktop stands with 4 rubber feet on the bottom on my desk and also have 4 rubber feet on the top of the stands. The stands are filled with sand. Do you think the resonance would be less putting the speakers on the stands? Or on the foam on top of the stands? I know I could just try it, but I'd figure to ask first.

What do you guys think?

it would be nice to know what speakers. ive never heard cabinet resonance, though it exists.
are you hearing the cabinet or the floor and wall resonances?

My speakers are the sevens from klipsch. The best way I can describe the sound is, it sounds like a concert hall in the middle of the sound. When I turned the bass and treble down a bit, it cleaned it up somewhat. My speakers are about 9 to 12in from the wall. Kinda like a hollow sound. Like a hole in the sound. Reverb sounding like a concert hall. Almost if vibration had a sound.

What is the best way to calibrate a 2.1 system with eq for noobs? Someone told me get a calibration mic and measuring software for win11. I know jack diddly on how to read measuring software. I am green when it comes to this stuff.

the 7s don't have much of a cabinet and probably, bracing, is my guess.
put a light weight on it and see what you get.
iono. those arent going to be but so strong basswise. adding in bass or treble will not always sound great. a touch or so is ok. trying to get thump they don't have isn't helping. need a sub.
room correction can done with something like an UMIK-1 mic and rew software(free).
