The expected use case is for 50-50 video and audio.
I was thinking that the marginal cost increase of using nicer speakers for top speakers could be worth it for TrueHD Atmos... maybe.
I was wondering if ceiling mounting genelec 8010a monitors is a good idea, they come in white (better chance to pass the WAF) and genelec sells a ceiling mounting kit. However I am not sure if the frequency range is suitable, these dont go down that low.
The following speakers can be recycled:
Ls, Lrs, Rrs may have to be ceiling mounted. If they sit on the floor they may just get in the way.
I may just do Lrs and Rrs initially, but if the best idea is to ceiling mount them i would have to run the cabling first.
The most important thing for me now is to figure out where to run the wires in the ceiling. I intend to construct a false ceiling surrounding the fan. The top speakers can be either mounted inside the false ceiling or bolted directly to the concrete ceiling.
Not very sure what room treatment is supposed to look like. I suppose a diffuser on the back wall is the most important, its also possible to have a heavy curtain at the windows and maybe a rug. I am assuming its not possible to have a cloud and a ceiling fan together.
If I were to get main speakers I am not sure what would work well in this space.
Walls, floors and ceilings are concrete.

The following speakers can be recycled:
- Dynaudio LYD8 x2
- Dynaudio BM5a x1 (the other one died)
- Klipsh Promeida 2.1 (2 satellites can probably be plugged into receiver)

- I think its difficult to place the speakers very far from the back wall. For example Revel seems to want 90cm on the salon 2
- Due to the kid factor, speaker grills are critically important, preferably metal ones.
- Maybe the KH-420 or F208? I suspect something that is front ported is a good idea
