This was my first 'very good' DAC and also my first experience with the then 'coming-age' of high-value Chinese Hi-Fi products.
Thanks to Amir and the whole ASR community for helping me make that (at the time) leap of faith .

There is no reason to upgrade. It's still a beast in 2025.

The DX7 is fully transparent to the source and the only reason to ever replace it would be if it breaks.
Only changing headphones would sound any different.
