If films were not made where lead characters had mental health issues and did harm, far fewer movies would have been made.

Even Snow White had a psychotic queen intent on murder …
Maybe, but I was just confused and horrified by this film.

You simply MUST see "Bullet Train" 58 year old Brad Pitt in the role of his life! Director is David Leitch - a former stuntman and good friend of Guy Richie, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (a James Bond Candidate) and Brad Pitt. All the actors had so much fun in shooting that movie. And you can see it every second.
The perfect mix between Quentin Tarantino and Guy Richie movies. Fun as Hell - and a little bloody. For me it was by far the best movie I had seen for the last 4 or five years.

I saw the movie three times within 6 weeks! The plot is a little bit complicated - just like "Pulp fiction" or "SNATCH" - so your brain has something to do also. Extrem opposite to todays marvel movie junk!
Disclaimer: This movie is not at all woke - and not made by Disney! Perhaps that is the reason it is that increadibly good!
So refreshing!

Run and watch!

Not sure if anyone mentioned the movie "Open Range". I think it's my favorite western of all time. Amazing acting, cinematography, and story line. Kevin Costner, Robert Duvall, Annette Bening, and the recently departed Michael Gambon.

I watched The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar tonight on Netflix . Wes Anderson production - Benedict Cumberbach, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Kingsley , Dev Patel. Based on the Roald Dhal book. A lovely 40 minutes of theatre.
It was more like an audiobook with a pointless show-off of typical self-satisfied Anderson-visuals.

Reptile, with Benicio del Toro.
A crime whodunit following that tried and tested format but has just enough unpredictability and indie-style cinematography and a non-patronising presentation to keep you engaged.
One of the few movies I've managed to watch right through to the end in recent years. The Irishman being the exception and that's going back a couple of years now! And Banshees ofc

Yesterday I saw James Camerons The Abyss in 70 mm film and 6 channel Dolby Stereo on a Cinerama screen. Great image and sound quality for such an old movie (1989).

Yes it is a good one.
I have shoved an already good 4K version through my usual Ai enhancer, the results are very impressive.
I have seen in on an 85" oled TV.
The film is shot very well.
Some screenshots from my enhanced version.

Recent release: I enjoyed the kooky energy of "Renfield"
