Recommend me some "fun" IEMs

I recently acquired a pair of Thieaudio Prestige LTD. They are pretty amazing. However, although bass is plentiful when it needs to be, they are a fairly analytical pair. Which is great, but I'd like to have a more "fun", U- or V-shaped pair to go alongside them. Around the £500 mark but willing to go up a little if needed.

I listen to a variety of genres, but prog rock most of all. Then other rock, plus musical theatre, classical and other stuff.

I have some Moondrop Arias which I liked quite a bit, although I didn't spend the longest time with them. So the Moondrop Variations, as a supposed upgrade, are on my radar. But lots of comments seem to suggest they are less good for rock, and especially older rock recordings, due to the thinner mid-bass vs sub-bass. A lot of people who like them seem to be into EDM and various forms of pop, which I am not.

Is this fair, and if so are there any better options for a fun pair of IEMs to sit alongside the Prestige LTD, without straying massively into the 1k plus territory? Or if I liked the Arias shall I just take a punt on the Variations anyway? Welcome any suggestions. I would like reasonable detail retrieval, though I realise as a function of them being "fun", detail is not going to match a more analytical pair.

Ziigaat Doscinco (or its wonkier "fun brother" the Cincotres)- $212 in Black Friday.

Or the ludicrous Fatfreq Deuce

Thank you for the suggestions; those Ziigat Doscinos sound like they are more L-shaped (i.e. basshead phones) than V- or U-shaped, so I'd be a bit concerned about the detail and treble excitement, which I don't want to be off the charts and too much, but I want to be there, if you get me.

Any other suggestions, and may I ask your thoughts on the Moondrop Variation, in general and with respect to rock/prog rock?

Dont know the Variations but I have the Truthear Nova which graph very similarly (ie basically Harman IE2019 v2)- too sharp for my ears but with some light EQ to pull down the 2-7 k range they are good.

No idea what L shaped means either but heard in used but anyway pick the bones out of this- the Nova are £100 for Black Friday- the Variations are £300+. I know which would get my money. And without EQ the Doscinco sounds better to my tastes (but also new toy syndrome in play)

Interesting graph, thanks. L-shaped means I think emphasised in the bass but nowhere else. Whereas U or V shaped implies some emphasis in the bass and treble.

Do you listen to any rock/prog? How would you say the Truthear Nova fair with it?

You can save money and add some fun to your Thieaudio IEM playing a bit with PEQ.

If you're looking for a fun pair of earphones on a budget, I highly recommend the KBEAR Rosefinch IEMs. They're an excellent option in the low-cost category, priced well under $30. These IEMs deliver an engaging sound while offering good build quality and comfort for the price.
The tuning is near-perfect for music listening, with a bit of extra bass and warmth. Definitely worth considering!

Let me know if this works!

Thanks for the suggestions. I think the ideal for me is a pair which is fun, with extended bass and treble (but without the latter being too "hot") but somehow has a very respectable level of detail retrieval. I will take a look at all the ones suggested - feel free to throw any other suggestions my way. Cheers!

Aful Explorer. Love to be played at very high volumes, and are immersive if you really crank them.

From graph i consider your Prestige LTD already a "fun" sounding iem for my personal standard, so from your description you probably want something earlier rising in mid bass and more v-shaped. First things that come to mind could be:
- Nightjar Singularity, but very pricey
- 64audio Nio, bu very pricey
- Fatfreq Scarlet mini, hyper bassy, still pricey
- 7Hz Five, much more affordable but hyper v-shaped
- Hidisz MS3, affordable, v-shaped
- Shanling Sono, very affordable, hyper v-shaped

Note that this is only from graph, never listened any of these (not my target)

But as already advised, probably better to play with EQ on your Thieaudio to get the most out of them.
