Question on DAC clipping when hooked up to CD player

When I play music (Youtube etc) from my Laptop through my DAC ( digital out to digital in) to my desktop speakers there is no clipping. When I play a CD from my TEAC CD player through the DAC (analog out to analog in) the DAC clipping light blinks on/off. The speakers are PreSonus Eris 3.5. The DAC is Soundavo HP-DAC-1. Would it make a difference if I connected the TEAC CD player digitally to the DAC? Even though the clipping light blinks I dont hear any effects

It's possible that the clipping LED will stop blinking if you connect them via Coax/Toslink.
