Hey I am new to this but have bought 2 Adam Audio A7V and my interface would be an SSL 2 to an PreSonus MicroStation BT 2.1. What volume should my SSL 2 be at? and how much quality overall am i going to loose with the PreSonus MicroStation BT 2.1 at the middle. I am going to use the sub out from it when playing my old subs. I am going to buy an Adam Audio T10S but that one is going to be directly to from the microstation and ssl 2 between the a7vs. But i want to be able to use my old subs if I can sometimes. I have 2 setups cause i live in a apartment that need 2 setups for seeing movies on the tv and relaxing and one for the pc. But the subs is fine for both. But however my question is if im going to loose some quality in this configuration and what volume to put the ssl 2 at? Please help me im newbie at this. And i have to controll the old subs with an rca bass knob probably cause they are now controlled with the app for my klipsch the fives. But when powered from the microstation they going to use their own gain and not be eq from the fives.

Hi @KloakMunk! Welcome to ASR.

Unfortunately, Presonus do not specify the maximum in-/output voltage of the MicroStation, so I cannot answer your question.

Luckily, with your SSL2 interface and a PC, you have all the tools required to answer both of your questions yourself!

For this, use Room EQ Wizard or Multitone Loopback Analyzer to perform loopback audio measurements.

The results will tell you how much volume the MicroStation can take, and how much (if any) fidelity you're losing through it.

What you mean with fidelity im losing? I want to use it as volume knob and have the ssl 2 at the same level all the time? I dont want to fidle around with any of the knobs really except volume up and down on the microstation. And yeah cause im noob i need more information How to messure it? Just fidle around with settings? Or do i need to messure with microphone? I know i lose some quality but i was thinking if I am going to hear it?

And hi thanks man

PC->USB->SSL2 Line out->TRS->MicroStation->TRS->SSL2 Line in.

No microphone required.

Isnt the just a loop? What am i looking for doing it? I understand a bit of it. But how to tell the volume?

Oh after a bit of thinking and make sense of what u said i know what I can do. But im scared of make something wrong though

Good. No hardware gets any sound so i think i know how to do this now thanks man

I want to get the whole order before i try though so I reply when i done it in about 2 weeks. But yeah i think i know how too now. Thanks again. Dang what big package with the stands ive gotten last night. They are really big. But is their any warranty if they dont handle the speakers weight but they say the handle it? I mean if the stands suddenly broke and the speakers brake on the ground. It says 30kg and the speaker weight is around 15kg. But they have tilt and I am worried they loosen up with time. Sorry not a related question but i thought I Wright it anyway. Thanks again for the tip you gave me. Im going to do it as fast as i get everything in 2 weeks. Piece out man
