Iv’e connected a Processor and a transport streamer and a TV to McIntosh controller MPC500.

I have a few power cords.
One better and the other regular ones.

AudioQuest Monsoon 3.31mm’2 the "better" one
AudioQuest NRG-Z3 2.08mm’2

Is it preferred to use the Better Power cord to a streamer transport or to a Pre Amp / TV or to the controller ( first in line chain ) ?

Thank you.

In what way is it "better" ? More expensive ? At any rate, use any power cord you like, it doesn't make a difference.

Are you plugging them into the wall where one outlet is higher than the other, or are they going into a power strip on the floor with the outlets facing upward?

Yes completely, place your ‘best’ cord wherever you damn well like.

I am afraid I didn’t get past the baked beans advert, what was a, and what was b, and what was the supposed difference ?

Random thoughts:

a] While all good AC power cords are equal, not all cords are good.
I have read unverified reports in the audio, test equipment and PC computer areas of;
1] Swapped wires.
2] Missing Safety Ground wire.
3] Poorly crimped wire strands.
4] Poorly machined pins.

b] Plugging all the cords into the same outlet strip is good.

c] At the almost theoretical level, short cords are better than long ones.
