NAD C 658 vs Wiim Ultra

Hi all,

Quick question .. As the NAD C658 is a number of years old now, would the Wiim Ultra be better choice as a streamer ..

Thoughts?

The NAD has native XLR out and Dirac Live.
If I had to pay for neither of them, and I were using analog speakers, then I'd choose the NAD.

Given that the Wiim Ultra is about 16% of the price of the $2000 NAD, and definitely has very good audio quality, I would try it first. There may be UI issues or minor features that are extra important to you, but for $329 I'd just try it, and if you don't like it, return it.

The Wiim might have the better DAC section, but it doesn't have Dirac Live.
The new Bluesound Node and Node Icon (both optional Dirac Live) should definitely perform better.
