Do you think that this damage can influance the sound?

Probably not. Unless the voice coil got damaged by the impact etc.

Maybe. You could play a low frequency test tone and listen for rubs and crackles, being very careful to not bottom out the suspension.

Around the corner from me, someone is selling the Monitor Audio 300 silver at a very good price.
Albeit with this "damage". His feedbacks (as seller) are impeccable...

Caveat emptor. If it were me I'd want the sale contingent on there being no hidden damage (like the coil).

How did the damage occur? Is the seller selling these 2nd hand, or is it a business selling factory 2nd's, or refurbished returns?

I asked now, how this damage happened.
The speakers are sold 2nd hand, i.e. privately, and are 20 months old.
