I see that the HD-DAC1 has been discontinued. Does anyone 'in the know' have an idea whether Marantz plans to release a new version of this?

Thanks for that! That is a significant jump in price point, but oh well. It IS a premium product, after all.

Yes, nearly for times the price.

I guess it has more features in addition to being just a DAC and it is pretty. I'm not sure it's meant to be a direct replacement.
