Hello everyone, hoping this is the right section as the question is a bit crossover 
I've recently bought an AVR-S970H for HT purpose, which while is good enough about movies, but i'm not satisfied with stereo performances.. I was planning to build a parallel system sourcing a used Marantz pm6007 and my RPi2 already installed with LMS for Tidal, but this will mean loosing the HEOS controls advantage and dealing whith more boxes.
So, this morning i thought that probably could be possibile extract pure digital output from HDMI using an audio extractor and run the signal into the PM6007 using his DAC and amplifier section and still using HEOS app.
Does it makes any sense to you guys?
