Mackie MR10Smk3 Heartbeat Issue

I am gonna need help with this. I have a mackie powered sub listed above in the subject line and it has been damaged. There is a heartbeat coming through the speaker and audio sounds distorted. I have already replaced two 1000uF capacitors in the amplifier module and the problem still remains. I cannot find an answer anywhere as to what the source of the problem is or which component is the culprit. This happened the same day that I unplugged a power strip (which the sub was plugged into..) and then plugging it back in. Sub power switch selector was on (OFF>>AUTO>>ON) ON pretty much the whole time I have owned it since 2014 (maybe another mistake). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
