Good day everyone. Hoping to get your opinions on a theater room issue. Primarily used for big impact action movies and video games with some multichannel music listening.
I have an awkward theater layout I am trying to work around. I have to avoid in-wall speakers for now, so I have see two options for laying out the left, right, and center channels.
I can either have bookshelf and center mounted to the ceiling (or maybe three matching center speakers) or I can do floor standing and center channel.
Mounting above, I can get better left and right separation, but have to mount all speakers horizontally.
Going with floor standing, the left and right would have to be touching the tv to avoid blocking the door. Floor standing would also have to be pushed to the wall, vs the ceiling mounted could be 18" away from the front wall.
I have Klipsch RP speakers through out and an 85" TV, if that helps at all. Would likely get matching RP-600M's or floor standing would need to be more budget friendly set like Polk or Sony (try and find one with a front facing port).
Thanks for sharing your opinions!!!!
