Just got my Klipsch rp-600m and have a dumb question. I'm using 4 channels (bi-amp) on my vintage Onkyo (55w rms 8ohm, 75w rms 6ohm, 100w peak per channel).
These speakers are rated 100w rms, 400w peak.

So total rms per speaker is around 110w+ per speaker. What are the chances of blowing up / damaging these at high volume ?
The volume dial, is -60db to +18db, at around -12db to 0db on the dial they are very very loud, no clipping or distortions.

Not sure how reliable dB meter app on Android phone is, but they register 85db+ with volume dial at 0db.

Would this be safe to use with more volume, like +5db on volume dial ?

I think the short answer is that should be absolutely fine. Going from 85db to 90db at normal distances in a normal sized room.

They're not fragile, have some fun (don't damage your hearing).

You answered by yourself. You will hear that happening before anything get damaged.
