Speakers have traditionally been the rate limiting step as far as distortion is concerned in the equipment chain so does this mean we really shouldn’t fuss about the distortion in the other components as long as is below the 1% or so that speakers impart? The expert consensus seems to be that this speaker distortion does not play a significant role in terms of listener preference.
