For someone with theoretically or practical knowledge of these different kinds of subwoofers, why does something like the https://www.genelec.com/7350a cost so much more per watt than https://www.svsound.com/products/pb-2000-pro ?

From what I can see, the PB-2000 has more wattage, deeper bass extension, but fewer ports. They both have integrated management software. The cabinet material is different.

Am I missing anything? At first glance, it seems like PB-2000 is much better bang for the buck.

You are paying for the way it's more designed to integrate with their own monitors through GLM and the ease of which that affords such. To many, that's probably something that provides value.

Nothing wrong with using something different though, the SVS has DSP for itself anyway, will just possibly need for fettling.
