hello ! I'm looking for an audio interface with a maximum budget of $200 for my small studio. I currently use it to produce with FL Studio on a Windows laptop, I make hard music, I don't use microphones or guitars. I have some krk rokit 5 G4 monitors and some audiotechnica M50X headphones. Now I have a Scarlett solo 3rd gen and I would like to change it mainly because it does not have a headphone knob and to try to improve the quality, I notice that with the Scarlett the treble is a little excited. What do you recommend?
- Scarlet 2i2 4 gen
- Minifuse 2
- Motu 2.
- Volt 1
-Volt 176
Any quality/price alternative?
thanks for your help.

Maybe the Topping E2x2. Better than usual headphone amp. Good otherwise. I would note the headphone volume knob is a bit small and close to the other knob. You'll have to decide how much of an issue that is for you.

I don't know you'll see much general quality improvement. The Solo has flat response. It might be not working well with your headphones as headphone power output is not very high. Does the treble sound a bit much over speakers or over phones or is that your impression with both? If it seems that way with both, I would guess that is not coming from the Solo, but from somewhere else.

How reliable is this brand? I'm worried about future problems I may have... The truth is that it looks very good.

I have seen that there is a 2x2 OTG option, what is the difference?

I have no way of answering that.

Have you considered keeping the Solo and adding a good headphones amp. Some JDS amps are inexpensive and excellent.

I bought the E2x2 OTG a couple of weeks ago. So far so good, it’s well built, and the mixer software is pretty good.

The E2x2 OTG is the newer model. The OTG model supports connecting Android/Apple mobile phone to the OTG port at the back.

and if I decide not to buy the topping, What other audio interface do you recommend?
