I can't give recommendation, but I do know that @maxxevv is right. It may have bulged capacitors or some other fault. You should try another one on loan.

That will be my next option if this toslink connection doesn't fix the electrical noise.

Hello everyone, just giving an update I got a little impatient and headed over to BestBuy to just buy myself an optical cable from retail. The optical cable fixed the interference completely and in turn I feel it even made my sound quality much better. Thank you everyone for your advice and concern to answer.
